A note to any users! Version 1.3 will NOT work with version 1.22 houses without the version 1.22 houses being converted first!

For some reason, containers try to automatically open themselves whenever I stare at them. This is possibly because of a conflict from Loot Menu. Just a heads up for the dudes with the same problem as me.

I faced the same problem and had to disable loot menu mod since I was unable to find a way it to cooperate

Getting an error saying sortomatic has recomplied all scripts and to clean with FNVEdit.
I do the FNVEdit Quick auto clean but it doesn't work.

Anyone able to give me a nudge in the right direction to fix this?

All the .opl's have no base object's for their selected pallet objects. Making the modders resource opl's mostly tedious to use, as I would have to search for and assign objects as well as dismissing the missing object error warning, for every single item. Is this intentional? It feels not.

Quick question; if I add items to the Sortomatic storage at one player home with it, will it be available at all player homes with it? Also, will all crafting stations have access to all of the items? For example, a campfire at Wolfhorn Ranch Overhaul, or even a random campfire in the middle of nowhere, having access to my scrap metal that I store at the Sinkomatic

No, sortomatic items are only available in the cell they're stored in.

If you're not using a Sortomatic specific house, or using a patch that you can disable, consider giving Stash Organizer a look. It does support global options and sending items between houses.

This mod is amazing but some of my items go missing when I put them sortomatic. First it happened to 9 mm and 357 pistols but when I
re-enter house they were in cabinet I set dd on. One of the weapons though never came back, I tried computer to find all items but it wasn't on the list. Is there a fix for this?

You find a solution? This happens to me as well as items not registering for crafting purposes.

Honestly, unless you just absolutely must have displays, or are using a house mod that was only made for Sortomatic, I would suggest getting Stash Organizer instead.

Help, the USS hoodwink mod came with a thing that is both a work bench and a reloading bench in the same object and that's preventing me from opening the configuration for it, I can't set it to take from all containers or anything but use it normally.  Is there a console way to configure workbenches?

Really stupid question. How does the person playing the game use it?

My understanding of how sorting in mods work is there's 2 ways:

    • Underground Hideout: Each container gives you a menu to "dump [category] items" and all the items that are [category] move there.
    • House on the Hill: There's one "IN" box and various target boxes. You put everything in the IN box, and press a button or something and all the items jump to their designated containers.

So is it up to the modders to determine how this framework or whatever is implemented (1, 2, some other way)? Or is there a standard way that all mods using this function? My ADHD is bad so it's entirely possible that I'm just missing that part in the mod description each time.

HELP. I was using this with Elianora's Awesomeised Sink, it was working perfectly for multiple hours and suddenly stopped working.
I tried reinstalling, loading old saves, everything. I'm not shure  what to do or what's wrong.

So on start up I receive a notification telling me the Sortomatic has re-compiled all scripts and could be dangerous to my saved game. I'm able to load easy, and so far no save has been corrupted. Any fix to this, is it just a garbage message?

Weird. I never got this message from this mod. And I don't see anything in FNVEdit that should cause that. This mod just has a handful of scripts needed to work, but non that change (re-compile) any existing scripts. (I've seen this issue on another mod and it was obvious in FNVEdit)

Agreed. Did some checking. I think it's down to the fact that I was using v1_22 rather than the current mod to try out some older mods reliant on that version. Fired up 1_3 with Bison Steve and some others and no ominous notifications.

Glad you found the issue! Yeah, the Bison Steve looks like a great mod too..
By the way, your name made me start reading about Carl Sagan! Good stuff :-)

This mod is amazing! And Pre-War Safe House - The Crescendo with Sortomatic (English and French) implements this mod very well.
Thank you for bettering the lives of hoarders everywhere.
