If, for whatever reason, you've given Recharger weapons to your companions, you know that they don't ever equip them. This is more than just an issue with the weapon's damage: Companions (and NPCs) are NOT given the ammo needed to use it, and the weapon does not regenerate ammo while they are carrying it, only while they are using it. This means that even when a companion has no ammo for any other weapon, they won't use their recharger weapon.

This fix addresses the problem by adding a script to each Recharger weapon which ensures NPCs and Companions are given MF Breeder ammo when they are given the weapon, and furthermore makes sure they are given MF Breeder rounds when they unequip the weapon (in case they unequipped it because they were ''out of ammo'').


NOTES

Companions will not use the Recharger Rifle. This is because the Recharger Rifle is, without exception, underpowered compared to every Companion's default weapon.

Making these weapons run on Magical Companion Ammo would have caused issues with the ammo regeneration process, namely that it would give the Player Magical Companion Ammo, something that is A Very Bad Thing. That is why the weapon uses a script method instead.
