It just occurred to me that it was rather odd that the dead Paladins didn't have helmets.

Great mod, but can you please make a mod that fixes the t-45d shoulder glitch. The one in which the shoulder pauldrons rotate into the player when sitting.

Hmm...I recall Josh Sawyer saying that the mismatched T-51b armour and helmets were deliberate, indicating that the Brotherhood doesn't always have everything, he said it on formspring, but I dunno where the comment is now...

It is definitely a bug, because the t-45d armor is not appearing in the list at all, even though it is supposed to be far more common that the
      t-51b variant.

EDIT:Not to mention that the list says that it is only for t-45d armor.

It's not really supposed to be far more common. T-45d was produced in VERY limited numbers pre-war where as T-51b was produced like crazy. The only reasoning for post war t-45d armor is some factions simply don't have the resources to build the space age polymer T-51b so they retro-fit their factories to build simple T-45d which is just made of riveted steel. Hell in the first two games T-45d didn't exist!

Actually, what you've just posted explains EXACTLY why T-45d power armor is more commonly used. Even though there was more T-51b armor available to start, performing maintenance on that armor is very difficult in the environment of the wasteland. Compare that to T-45d, made out of steel plates and little else, and repairing it becomes a much easier process, and much more viable for long term use. It would make sense for the Brotherhood to use the more easily maintained hardware for day-to-day operations, only breaking out the T-51b armor for those who truly need it.

True...perhaps this was a borked implementation? Wouldn't be surprised if that was the case given how rushed NV was. Can't wait for Obsidian's next Fallout.

hello you can not launch an optional file so that all the members except the high ranking paladins wear t-45 as it should be and as it is in Fallout 3?

Paladin is the second highest rank in the BoS hierarchy, why would they wear inferior armor e.g. T-45d instead of T51-b?
I didn't endorse, hope your mod will be excluded from the comunity patch OR, if you want to fix the PA distribution, do it proprely

You just don't get it, do you? It is not about making anything more or less common, it is about putting the right armor in the right list, and has the side effect of making t-45d more common.

@Braydongem: There's only two sets of T-51b in the Capital Wasteland. The West Coast and surrounding region have always had sufficiently high numbers of T-51b armor, presumably because they were closer to the Alaskan front. The 51b is the only armor the Brotherhood uses in Fallout 1 and 2. Why the East Coast Brotherhood used the 45d exclusively I'm not sure, other than that replacement parts may have been more common.

Nice, i did find it a bit odd that in all of fallout 3 only two suits of t 51 power armor exist, yet in new vegas, its just the opposite, t 51 is everywhere and t 45 is nowhere to be found.
