Great idea but why would this be locked behind a perk?!

It's an invisible activation perk that is added to the player when you install the mod. It's not a perk you would pick during level up. This activation perk allows a script to run when you activate your companion and if they are poisoned, you can heal them.

Thanks for clarifying, and sorry for being sassy about it. I was frustrated. Its a godsend of a mod. Now I don't have to leave Boone at home when I fight Cazadores.

    FINALLY!
I have tried several mods that claim to let you heal poisoned companions, but this is the first one that works as advertised. No more burning superstimpacks (or auto-inject stim or superstims!) to cure (or more often NOT cure) cazador poisoning in Boone. This actually does the trick.

I play in Hardcore mode, with JSawyer Ultimate Edition, and this is a lifesaver (literally). The JSaw adds weight to nearly everything, so carrying unlimited stimpacks is not a real option. And 4-5 are needed to get a companion through cazador poisoning. Being able to administer basic first aid seems to me to be realistic.

Now, if someone could make a mod to have companions administer them themselves...

    ENDORSED!!!

Only happened about 6,7 times in my run and I"m level 49 so it doesn't happen often. Still it's nice to have the possibility of helping your followers.

Don't think I ever had a companion be poisened to start with. But I'm going to play on hardest this time so maybe I'll need it.

The perk should probably be set as hidden. Otherwise, you can see it's missing an icon.

If playing in Normal mode could be useful; in Hardcore mode situation changes dramatically. Hard to believe that any human/ghoul companion would survive any attack of Cazadores or a pack of angry Nightstalkers (unless you have Animal Friend perk). I found out (to some extent) that all human/ghoul companions are pretty useless in Hardcore Mode - I had to protect them all the time (especially the annoying Veronica aka Mike Tyson). With ED-E it is another pie - I don't think it is in so much need of an antivenom shot.

NB: Speaking of ED-E, it's kinda weird also to use stimpacks for healing it - a piece of Scrap Metal/Electronics should be more "realistic". But no mod for that. The NB is not related to your mod - just a thought.

This looks like one of those mods that add something essential to the game, I'm not playing through at the moment, but will download and endorse when I get the opportunity. Finally Boone can be of some use through the long-ass road out of Goodsprings!
