It's a nice mod that would fit nicely in vanilla if there wasn't already a debt collection quest. But deja vu aside for what it is, it is well done and the characters aren't cardboard cutouts they have a *bit* of life. My only dislike is the use of the Fallout 3 speech check mechanic, while there are a lot of problems with high speech being an auto win in new vegas I dont think the fo3 way is the solution to that issue.
that deja vu feelng is why i have alot of problems with bountie mods. it's been run to the ground. people should have stopped after headhunting and of truth and lies. who sorry now and retribution may be evil takes on the formula but after someguy,th3overseer and rikkuikku there is just no futher this mod concept can go.
make something thats not in the vanilla game modders i beg of you.
Bland and forgettable. Don't let the description fool you. It's just a fetch quest. One with multiple solutions, but all end in the same way, you get the money back for Mr. "IWANTMAMONEY!". No interesting dialogue or characters. Just a simple but boring quest. At least in the base game, they would try to make for it with some amusing humor (Fisto et al). But all of the characters here are pretty boring. It's not AWFUL but could've been something far better.
To be fair, some of the alternative solutions for the debt owners do have interesting interactions (Like donating an beggar money), so in that regard, it's good for roleplaying, but otherwise, there's not much to do that isn't already in other quests. I feel if the modder went the mile to add actual voice acting to his mod, he should've at least given it more s#*! to do, but instead, it's a pretty bland 3/10 mod that doesn't add much to the game.
The description SPECIFICALLY tells you that the modder said he made this quest to get used to Vegas modding, so not sure what in the description supposed to fool anyone. If anything, it might undersell it, because for such a simple, little thing, it indeed achieves its goal: the quest feels like it was always been there in the vanilla, the voice acting is professional and the writing is on the level too. So honey. Shush.
complaing about a mod from 2011 and comparing to what we have now when everyone knows what to do with the geck.
you gotta remember until like 2013-2014 this was how most new vegas mods were. simple kill quests. we did not get experimental stuff till autumn leaves and that was 2015.
Quick mod with good voice acting, fitting into FNV in both tone and lore. Yes it is a fetch quest. Yes it is a bit of back and forth (which can be done on the side). But if you need more to do in Vegas, this is a good mod.

So many mods with crappy voice acting or mundane quest get more praise for some reason.
