So I recently tried out this mod and think I fixed the issue many were having regarding none of the nuka cola variants spawning at all. You'll need FNVEdit to fix this, or GECK. I simply started two new leveled item lists in this mod and named them ClutterNukaColaSpecialQuartz and ClutterNukaColaSpecialVictory. I then renamed ClutterNukaColaSpecial10 (or 25) to ClutterNukaColaSpecialQuantum. Then I just placed the respective flavors in the level list and added all 3 level lists to the nuka cola vending machine. With this I can now randomly find all 3 flavors in the vending machines.
If you follow this then you can even set your own chance. Under "LVLD -Chance None" simply put the percentage of how rare you want the flavors. But make sure it's 100 minus whatever chance you want. So if you want them spawning with a 10% chance, put 90. If 25%, put 75.
I'm not sure why this mod couldn't work the way it was uploaded. Everything seemed right in FNVEdit. My only guess is that for some reason the vending machine wouldn't allow leveled lists with more than 3 items.
I'm Japanese and I don't know how to use XEDIT in my country, even though you told me how to do it. I would appreciate it if someone could make a modified version and upload it.
I have gone to tons of vending machines and have yet to find something that wasn't just regular nuka cola. I am using the 25% version. Is this not compatible with YUP? The only other mods I am using are WMX, Weapon mod menu, Delay DLC, Missing ammo recipes, and Interior Lighting Overhaul.
I'm beginning to think there's some sort of additional process I'm not fully aware of going on here. Mathematically it should work out, but even I'm not getting the results I should when I test.
could u add a slider im mcm so we can make are own chances and maybe how meany will spawn, im doing a play throw with very little food spawns and i know i can change food spawn chance throw Project Nevada's mcm but idk if it will effect this mod and on top of that id like the to mods to not be linked like that. plezzzzzzzzz
Sad to say I installed this mod and have played my build from level 1-22 and have not found (in machines) a single special cola. I moved the esp a few days ago so that its 4th or 5th from the bottom, tho this mod doesnt seem like it would suffer from any conflict due to load order. I just double checked, and its the 25% modifier. Gonna leave in plugged in for a bit longer and report back @ around level 30.
I've noticed that too sometimes in my own games. Not sure what triggers it. Doesn't always happen though, and it should be a pretty straightforward fix since it's just an addition to the vending machine list. Maybe something weird happened in a patch.
None whatsoever. Container inventory is generated whenever you enter an area or the container resets, and isn't dependent on the list (the thing I've modified) except for a fraction of a second. Technically you could uninstall the mod entirely and not have issues.
Nice idea! Could the chance of finding a "special" bottle be tied to your LUCK somehow? Like 10% base chance and then (LUCKlvl x 5) So player with luck lvl 1 would get "10% + (1x5)" = 15% chance A player with luck lvl 7 would get "10% + (7x5)" = 45% chance A player with luck lvl 10 would get "10% + (10x5)" = 60% chance or something similar?
