I fixed science (70) option changing the script "HVHuntingVirusScript" (without quotes). I locate the script using G.E.C.K and in the line "if VirusTimer > 0 && NumberFixed==3" I changed to "if VirusTimer > 0 && NumberFixed==0" (without quotes). After doing this when you try the quest again you auto complete it without need to do anything.

Put this file inside Data folder and active the script as any normal dlc or plugin.
I passed the science dialogue, and I also repaired the electric box, too. I already has 2 terminal partitioned, but no metter how many times I tried to check BOTH of the already partitioned terminals, it doesn't work.
I had passed the Science dialogue. After dozens of attempts I had only isolated one. Installed this mod via Vortex, loaded last save and noticed an electrical box on the wall that would power down all but three computers. I don't know if this existed prior to the mod and I went too far to uninstall, go back and see. After pulling the switch I was able to complete the quest.
Tried this mod and another that had to do with 'fixing' the hidden valley virus bug, both don't work. No, it's not science check 70 that causes it, it's something else. G.E.C.K is a headache to deal with as well.
Am I doing something wrong? I installed this mod, followed what it said in description but can't find the 3rd terminal, nor does the other two that I did find, didn't do anything but confirm the virus being held. Ibsen is still telling me the virus jumped.
Not sure if even this fix should still work in the current version of the game (including I think all DLCs) Because I did a 70 science speech and located 2 viruses, however I can't find seem to find the third one even if I manage to view all terminals within 60 seconds. And this fix also does not seem to solve it, since it would still require 3 viruses.
Any idea how I just might cheat so this quest is completed successfully? Or how I could just reset my progress with this mission?
I just went through this part and had no problems.
I did talk with the guy first and then avoided using the Speech option or agreeing to help. I just left with Veronica and ED-E, did some stuff and came back when ED-E had to be handed over & the missing gun returned.
I then talked to the guy, he asked if I wanted to help with the virus I said "I have other questions to ask" (or to that effect, then I choose the Speech option, succeeded, and then either Started on it or had him explain it to me.
After three terminals it stopped and I was rewarded.
I have the FNV: Ultimate Edition, ALL DLC + GRA, then after those are loaded, I loaded up Hostile Faction Spawn (http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/46571), Jswayer's mod v5.1, and then GRA Name Fixes (http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/46499) - slightly modified to include ammo names.
Not sure if this bug is squashed through Jswayer's mod...
