First of all, AWESOME mod. In my admittedly short time playing New Vegas I have tried quite a handful of house mods. While there is certainly something for every taste, I jist keep coming back to this one...it just feels like it belongs in the vanilla game.

However, I have been wanting to mess around with GECK for quite some time, and today I decided I would not be intimidated by it any longer. Initially I just wanted to add/remove/rename a few containers, but then I stumbled into the navmesh issue, and solved it. I spent 5 minutes laughing maniacally while running back and forth the damned door with Rex. Now I want to learn and do more to this already incredible mod (add displays for DLC Weapons, some sort of sorting function, work bench storage access etc.).
I will gladly do this for myself, for the sake of learning and of course improving my personal experience with the mod itself. In any case, I would like to ask for permission to share whatever comes off that work.

In the read me text it says you know the drill. What is the drill to get this to work? I have never done a mod before so I have no idea what I need to do.

I realize this is months late and he probably knows already but since no one answered yet, I'll just plop down a quick reply here, potentially for others in the future reading this with the same question.....First make a backup copy of your new vegas directory(steamapps\common\Fallout New Vegas) the size will be 5gb-7gb unmodded and keep it safe somewhere on another harddrive, if possible, so it doesn't hog space. This will be your safety net in case s*** hits the fan after you add 539 mods and the game turns into my little pony. Drop the .esp file into the new vegas data folder "steamapps\common\Fallout New Vegas\data" then open the game launcher and click "Data Files" and you will see the file you put in is unchecked, simply check it and close that window and that's it'...This applies to most mods you will download, just always check the requirements and most mods do have these install instructions...It's safer and better to watch tutorials on youtube before you get into adding a bunch of mods, things WILL conflict eventually if you blindly add mods ontop of mods then you will need to know how to deal with it and how to keep it from happening. Extremely useful, I'd say mandatory tools are NVSE, FOMM and FNVEDIT, I'd start with getting those and then you can go further with GECK editing etc. later down the road once you're comfortable and warm and fuzzy

This will always be my favorite house mod, I've used a lot but I always come back to this one. Often when I think of FNV, I think of this apartment. Thanks.

I could not agree more. This mode is nicely balanced, also I cannot argue with the ability to hang up my trophies.

Just wanted to say this is a great apartment and it was my main house when I played FONV.
Apart from the weird plant, I loved everything about the room: the door (I have a thing about doors and locks), the containers, the furniture, the general cozy atmosphere.
Thanks a lot for creating it.

Yeah I wanted to add on to him^ and say that I love how simple it is. Its not some underwater pressurized personal vault with built in vertibirds, its just a straight up apartment. Just like how you imagine living in a place like freeside

Oh my god! This mod is utterly Amazing! Your one of the first mod makers that actually had an organizational system that I don't hate! This mod in my opinion is a must have for anyone who dislikes the vanilla player homes! Also I love all the little "talk to self" details in it! :D Kudos to you. mate!

    Endorsed,
I rate this mod an 11/10!

I love the apartment except for the talking plant... That scary looking talking plant... Ooooh, if I was Jontron I would get upset at that, but I ain't Jontron! 10/10, 100/100, best mod BEST MOD.
