    A couple things have changed since TerminusTF2's post right below mine.

    Now, this excellent mod is included in Essential Vanilla Enhancements. (and not JSawyer).

    This is mainly here for reference for myself, as I replay New Vegas every year or so, and often do new installations.  And for people who don't like to read.  This will message may be helpful for them too.

    For modders using JSawyer Ultimate Edition note that this mod (or a variant of it) is currently included by default:

    Is there a version with no fix to the sound/animation since that was included in patch 1.3? Thanks.

    Quote: But the handle itself makes it look like... something.

    @JDub85 - the Handle is probably modified from a crutch.

    @Yukichigai - You could make this schematic a little more difficult to make by requiring the crutch mentioned above, as well as some kind of common cloth wear/armor used to protect the arm when the user slides his/her arm inside the mantis exoskeleton.

    @Deadred: Yeah, I'm getting that. They're a lot more rare than I had in mind.

    ...let me see what else I can come up with.

    EDIT: I just realized that the point of the Spatulas was, essentially, to turn them into pieces, metal in the form of scraps, if you will. If only there were an existing item that resembled that. If only....

    @Kribensis:

    I think Wonderglue is one of those given components that isn't worth mentioning. But duct tape might be.

    On another note, I'm really still baffled as to what the handle is made of. Clearly, if you look at the part that wraps around the leg, it's a medical brace (straps, and then the 'buckle' for the joint). But the handle itself makes it look like... something.

    Duct tape (visible) and wonderglue seem like obvious components.

    It bugged me (pun intended) to have to use the console to play around with the mantis gauntlet, so kudos for making use of the schematics in this mod

    Alright, I tweaked the components a little. I'm really interested to know what was SUPPOSED to be included in this weapon, but meh.

    EDIT: oh, and fixed the weird sound issues.

    @JDub85: If you look at an up-close view of it, it doesn't really seem to look like the medical brace in the game. A medical brace, sure, but the shapes just didn't seem to match up. Of course, NONE of the shapes match up so I suppose it's moot. Really, I just wanted to do something other than making this identical to the Deathclaw Gauntlet without the Deathclaw parts, in terms of crafting it.

    @Deadred: Ah yes, good point. I'll get on that.
