INTRO

Spencer's dead, Martha disappeared in that elevator shaft, and Jack's seriously reconsidering his career choice. "Plenty of riches to be had, kid", had said the old coot. "Just gotta enter that old factory !". Well, they entered it alright, all four of them already enjying their soon-to-be wealth.

That was two hours ago. The old man was the first to go, snapped in half by a Gecko - which had brought his entire family to play. Martha fled alone down an open shaft, and Spence sliced his leg open on a rusty pipe while wading through radioactive water. Half the level's flooded, and the other half is teeming whith life. The hostile kind.

Pacing the room, Jack gazes at the old service door, locked by an unnamed resident years ago. The only other way out is back through the sludge - straining his ears, he can hear the Geckos getting closer, searching the place. He wedges the stick of dynamite under the handle, right against the rusted lock, and huddles behind a crate.

"Too close", he thinks, just before lighting the fuse.

A few slow seconds, and a shriek of tortured metal, a sudden brutal rush of air, an invisible fist pushing his guts out. Everything goes black.

A Khan found the blown-apart door a few days later. It opened right outside the building, on a loading dock. He picked his gear, sold it to the Gun Runners, and went on a three days binge at the casinos.

That's Vegas for you.

DESCRIPTION

Breach open doors and chests with explosives !
- Use powder charges, dynamite or C4 to get to places you can't lockpick your way into
- Chance of opening depends on the lock strength, and your Explosives skill

Run for your lives !
- Choose an approximate fuse length, and run like hell hoping you didn't cut too short
- The better your Explosives skill, the more precise your timing
- Hook up an Egg Timer for precise countdown

Know your charges !
- Choose the right charge for the job - you won't open a safe with a firecracker
- Use a stronger charge to increase your chances
- WARNING ! Using more explosive than needed can destroy objects inside containers !

- Access by hotkey, no script extender needed
- Quest-safe

INSTRUCTIONS

This mod uses "NVR Extra Actions" system, which you must download here :
--> NVR - Common Functions Library

The way it works is simple : you pick a hotkey (Walk or Crouch available) when installing the above mod, and this hotkey will allow access to ALL NVR mod-specific actions.

So, if you picked the Walk key, to activate breaching :
- Hold down the Walk key
- Activate the object you want to breach as usual, with "E"
And that's it, a window will pop-up asking you what you want to do. Really, couldn't be simpler.

Base information on the mod :
- up to 25 Explosives, there is a risk the charge will blow in your face
- up to 50 Explosives, there is a risk the charge will be a dud
- up to 75 Explosives, there is a risk the fuse is longer or shorter than desired
- charges that can be used are Powder Charges, Dynamites, Time Bombs and C4
- drugs, food, ammo and caps can break during the explosion

STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS FOR EXTRA CLARITY

1. Download and install this mod
2. Go to NVR - Common Functions Library
3. Download and install the "NVR_ExtraActionsLib" and "NVR_ExtraActionsToggle_Walk" files
4. Start the game
5. Activate the object your want to breach as usual, but while walking, not running

Nothing special, but I'm open to ideas. Better visuals, maybe. Extend the types of items that can break.
