UPDATE: Fixed an oversight where you would get the pop-up menu on a dead NPC if you killed them while they were Fatigued. Also changes where the perk is given that controls this. ------------
Just a little simple something I whipped up because I was sick of knocking down NPCs with Bean Bag rounds, Boxing Tape, what have you, and NOT being able to loot them like you could through various Fallout 3 effects (Victory Rifle, Cryo Grenades, etc.)
This mod adds a hidden perk which changes the "activate" (right-click, "use", etc.) behavior on unconscious NPCs so that it gives you a second option, "Search", that opens up their inventory. The perk is given AUTOMATICALLY upon installation of this mod.
Also, I realize there's already a more complex mod which does this and some other effects as well. Specifically, I realized this when I searched midway through typing up this summary. Still, I already got the description written up, and this might be useful for people who JUST want the "Looting" functionality.
CAVEATS:
It would be a lot more awesome if it were possible for the "Search" option to be performed automatically when you activated a KO'd NPC. There IS an option to do so in the GECK, but selecting it causes an immediate Crash-to-Desktop whenever an NPC is activated. If-and-when Bethesda gets around to updating the engine again this may be possible, but currently it's beyond anybody's capabilities.
