About this mod

My first successful mesh edit ever, brought to you in the form of a new armor.

= WASTELAND JOURNEYMAN ARMOR v1.2 =

For a long time I've been trying to learn how to export meshes from blender into Fallout 3, and eventually into Fallout: New Vegas. I still don't know the correct process, but due to a stroke of luck I managed to actually get something to work in the game - the Wasteland Journeyman Armor. A slipshod piece of work if I've ever seen any, but I think I've managed to fix up the worst of it enough to make it presentable.

As I said, I don't have much knowledge about working with meshes. I've had no problem getting the armor to show up properly in the game, but there may be other issues that I'm not aware of. Feedback and constructive criticism are welcome, but please be gentle and keep in mind that I'm only a novice.

- Considerably lowered value
- Altered location slightly

v1.0

- Initial release

= The Armor=

If you take a look at the armor you'll see that it's pieced together from a number of armors present in the game, the main reason being my inexperience with meshes and limited texturing ability. All texture paths are the same as those armors, so there should be no need to upload them. I based the armor on the vanilla body, but since it covers up pretty much everything it should be wearable by other body types as well.
Stat-wise, the armor is set as light, weighs as much as Leather Armor and offers a Damage Threshold bonus on par with Metal Armor. It also gives bonuses to Endurance, Survival and Poison Resistance. The helmet has about the same stats as the Metal Helmet and also gives a bonus to Perception.

= Location =

I've put the armor in Primm, look at the screenshots for the specific location. And yes, I know I'm lazy, but I don't have much more skill with the GECK than I do with meshes. Someday I might come up with a more logical way to obtain it, but for now, Primm it is.

= Known Bugs/Issues =

Haven't had any bugs myself, but please tell me if you find any.
There may be some minor clipping when performing certain kinds of movement, but it shouldn't be too noticable unless you look for it (not much worse than most vanilla outfits).

= Compatibility =

There shouldn't be any compatibility issues with other mods, but again, please tell me if you find any.

[INSTALLATION]

Extract the contents of Journeyman_v1_2.rar to your fallout new vegas\Data folder and check the plugin in the Data Files tab in the launcher or in Fallout Mod Manager (New Vegas Mod Manager?).

[UNINSTALLATION]

Uncheck the plugin and remove the contents of this mod. The Journeyman Armor.esp should be in the fallout new vegas\Data folder, outfitf.nif and outfitm.nif in the fallout new vegas\Data\meshes\armor\BlackPhoenix\Journeyman folder and helmet.nif in the fallout new vegas\Data\meshes\armor\headgear\BlackPhoenix\Journeyman folder.

= Author's Note =

What you do with the armor in your own game is your business, but I'd rather you didn't upload it in another mod. If you really feel that you need to do that, I want you to ask my permission first - depending on your request, I may grant it. I usually respond well to politeness. ^^
