I made a TTW patch @ https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/72841 It just adds crafting recipes, so it'll work with the base New Vegas, too. I credited you appropriately, although the permissions section is blank, so it's a safe assumption it's fine.
I've Done it! Using the following script, added to the pipboy you always light items & hostiles while aiming & have a aimer hovering over npc when targeted. I dub this the official Vats Replacer!
Its very basic but I hope everyone enjoys this.
Mod the mods "Combat" perk to add item & spotter detection.
Add this to the pipboy! Once Done you only have to find & equip The Scouter & your pipboy is forever upgraded!
Edit forgot player.addper 01FCombatAssistantPerk
scn 01FScoutVisionStartEffectOnEquipScript
short bequiped short timer
Begin OnEquip player.addperk 01FCombatAssistantPerk set bequiped to 1 set timer to 50 if player.getcombattarget player.castImmediateOnSelf 01FScoutVisionMarkActorsActorEffect endif end
Begin GameMode if ( bequiped == 1) ;update effect, cuz it only lasts 8 seconds if player.getcombattarget set timer to timer - getsecondspassed if( timer <= 0 ) player.castImmediateOnSelf 01FScoutVisionMarkActorsActorEffect set timer to 50 endif endif endif end
So, are we to understand that this script will turn on the targeting effect when you're aiming at something, and turn it off when you aren't? Because that's what this mod really needs. Or perhaps a hotkey.
Nor do I know exactly how one adds this scripting to the pipboy. I suppose that would require some knowlage of GECK or FNVEdit. Perhaps if you were to package this as a mod itself...?
get GECK , open the data entry on the File tab, mark only FNV and this mod for activation( the esp is called The5 something) then look in scripts with the 01F filter ( at least I I think it was, not sure I remember correctly). you will see a list of scripts from this mod, modify the one with this "01FScoutVisionStartEffectOnEquipScript" kinda name, if the script is correct it will close when saved if not, it needs to be revised for mistakes. After this you're esp will have this script changed. I'd don't like this part of the mod anyway so not gonna do it :P
The brightness on the nightvision is a little too high, its basically a cheat, gonna bring that down by half or less and change the tint to be greener and remove the ability to see mob stats on the combat assistant since I'd rather have to get the perk naturally, the emi and thermal are rly nice though as well as the ability to combine them. For myself I mean. Took out the mark actors effect on NV cause while its good on the rest it just felt annoying there
well, using this mod with ENB i get the following results:
nightvision doesn't work, but it does turn all NPC white so it kinda works like thermalvision, but in a different colour. just shame the darker the night the weaker the white so... kinda not worth using with ENB, at least for me and the one i'm using.
thermalvision works, although targets are yellow instead of red and actually looks a lot better with ENB enabled than disabled. with ENB disabled the entire screen changes colour and it's just a mess to see where to walk, unless, again, that's just me and everyone else is fine with it.
other than that it's a good mod, except that the nightvision, with ENB disabled, is a bit too bright and white. would be nice if it was green and not be like someone turned on the sun.
I really loved this mod last time I played the game.
Could anyone suggest me a similar mod (mainly to detect hostiles behind wall) for Fallout 4 please? I have searched for it in the past few years but couldn't find a proper one. (I have tried the mod Highlighting Enemy and Corpses but I didn't like it.) This mod allowed me to play Fallout 3/NV without worrying much about the jumpscare. Sadly, I stopped playing Fallout 4 after a while because I couldn't bear the jumpscare...
I know presna has a pack that contains Judge Dredd armor and weapons from various things like RoboCop.however you can try other mod sites for the RoboCop armor itself.
