Give a big welcome back to the Railway Rifle from Fallout 3! One of a series of schematics that I am introducing into New Vegas to increase the amount of weapons you can craft, the Railway Rifle remains mostly unchanged from the previous game, but I have also increased its strength a little, so it's a bit more powerful than a Cowboy Repeater to make it a better higher-level alternative for players. There is no added ammunition for the Railway Rifle (it doesn't really lend itself to any, being a creative enough idea as it stands) and will still pin enemy limbs to the wall with critical hits - my favourite feature of the FO3 version.

To make a Railway Rifle, you will need to find the schematics and then, at a workbench, you will need:

Repair Skill: 55
Crutch x1
Steam Gauge Assembly x1
Fission Battery x1
Pressure Cooker x1

I have also added lots of Railway Spikes across the Mojave since they were absent in NV and have added them to the inventories of vendors. Look for the spikes in and around trainyards, mine interiors and industrial areas; vendors who sell junk items will also sell them (they are not technically weapons until you use them in the Railway Rifle, so it makes sense, but some ammo vendors sell them too) and you can find them sometimes in toolboxes. The number you find will be improved with the Scrounger perk.

If you don't want to search around for the location of the schematic (you impatient so-and-so :P) check the spoiler Readme that's contained in the rar file.

A big thank you to SilentKilla78 for the initial beta testing :)

IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ

Modders put a lot of time and effort into making new content for games, so if you like files, please endorse them. It only takes a moment, it shows appreciation for the work, and it's the best way a modder can know at a glance if they are successful in their endeavors; if people don't endorse a mod they like, I myself always assume that it isn't well-recieved and won't make any similiar things in the future. Thank you for your time :)

Disclaimer:
===============

I have the greatest respect for my fellow modders, but I have intentionally avoided looking at any other mods that have been made for New Vegas for the time being - I want the modding practise for NV and I don't want to be discouraged from trying something if a similiar mod has already been created. So, if there is something similiar out there, feel free to avoid mentioning it to me. If you feel offended because something of mine is similiar to your own mod, the resemblance is purely coincidental, and instead be proud - great minds think alike ;)
