WHAT IT DOES

It replaces the machete mesh and texture with something more realistic. All existing machetes (except the gladius ones) will now sport a different look.

The new machete has an 18 inch long blade, 3 inches deep at its widest, and 3/16 inch thick. It's covered in black oxide, as many are (e.g., the US Army one is black), though the sides got a bit of extra rust. It has a 5.5 inch black polymer handle.

Against my better judgment, I gave this one a few nicks in the edge too, to look more "used".

It will not change any stats. It'll still be the same crappy weapon, and cost exactly the same as ever, and everything.


HOW TO GET IT

There is nothing to get. If you have a machete in the game, it will just look differently.

If you have none and want to have a closer look, you can give it to yourself via the console: "player.additem 000ce569 1".


HOW TO INSTALL IT

Extract the archive, with directories, in your "fallout new vegas\Data" folder. Select it in the list of plugin files in the launcher.


HOW TO UNINSTALL IT

Delete the .esp file from your Data directory.

Delete the machete.nif from your Data/Meshes/Weapons/1handmelee directory.

Delete the MacheteBlade.dds and MacheteHandle.dds from your Data/Textures/Weapons/1handmelee directory.


CONFLICTS

It will conflict with anything that changes the machete mesh, but not with anything else. It is compatible with mods which just change the machete's damage or speed or who has one.
