This is a quick and dirty mod I whipped up for my own use. If there's interest, I may look at adding balance tweaks later.
For now, all this mod does is change the Flamer, Incinerator, and Heavy Incinerator from the Energy Weapons skill to the Explosives skill. As an Energy Weapons user, I never felt that they were a great fit, and I rarely used them. I personally felt they were a better fit for Explosives. I've changed the skill text to reflect the change as well.
I'm very happy with the resulting gameplay. The Explosives skill was in need of a little love, and the Flamer feels like a good fit. It also came up in the comments that this mod makes the Pyromaniac perk much more practical, and apparently moving Flamers to Explosives prevents Meltdown from triggering in your face when you use a Flamer (although you probably wont go for that perk with this mod).
For the future, I plan to release a seperate version that also includes some DT reduction effects for Explosives and Flamers. Eventually, I'd like to create one big package that includes the features of my other mod, "Freakin Laser Beams".
