Its an older mod I know but I just tried to dismiss Veronica to Novac proper as well as a custom player home mod inside Novac and although I have the the dialogue prompt to assign her a home, she will always go back to either the 188 or, if you have gotten to New Vegas, The Lucky 38.
yeah it looks like you can click the option to set home, but there is no dismiss to home option when it comes to letting them go. Anyone know any other mods that do this?
Every time I set Novac or anywhere else as a home marker for Cass, and fire her back to home, she walks to Vegas. Is there a fix for this or is this a dead mod?
For some reason, Rex's script is broken, and no one's ever bothered to fix it, so any time you tell him go home, even if it's back to the 38, he goes straight to The King instead.
You can configure it using the companion settings panel (the same place where you set the companion essential, toggle true passive mode, etc.). One thing you should be aware of is that it wont work with followers who've been force recruited. Oh, be sure and read the mod page for further information... It's kind of confusing at first (I know I had a little bit of a learning curve with it), but you get used to it. I highly recommend using the Tutorial Mode feature (toggle-able through the MCM menu) until you get the hang of it (heck, I still sometimes use it 'cause it helps me remember which buttons to press).
From the mod page:
Companion Settings Panel - Various settings can be configured from this panel for each companion, individually:
Essential - Prevents the companion from dying when reaching 0 health. Only applicable in hardcore mode.* Infinite Ammo - Whether the 'Infinite Companion Ammo' option will apply on the companion.** True Passive Mode - Whether the 'True Passive Mode' option will apply on the companion.** Set Home Marker - Marks a specific location as the companion's "home".* Go to Home Marker - Self-explanatory.* View Stats - Displays the companion's statistics and attributes, including current location, experience level, SPECIAL, skill level, damage threshold, damage resistance, encumbrance rate and limb condition. Remove from Companions Bar - Self-explanatory. Removed companions can be restored by selecting 'Restore Removed Companions' in the 'Interface' sub-menu in MCM.***
* Not available for force-recruited companions. ** This enables to turn off this feature only for specific companions (rather than completely) if it is found to cause issues with them. *** Useful when having more than sixteen companions (the maximum the mod can control) and wanting to make room for others.
