kotekzot: In Fallout3, things like miniguns and missile launchers were in fact "Big Guns". In New Vegas, there is no separate category for them.
So no, missile launchers and grenade guns are explosives while miniguns are just guns. They're not really "heavy weapons" in the sense that they don't have their own skill anymore.
Obsidian got it right, in my opinion, FO3 treated the Fat Man and Gatling Laser under the same skill, which was silly.
A typo on the loading screen: You'll be much more accurate if you stop, crouch and aim. In general, only one handed weapons retain any sort of accuracy if >>the<< you're running around.
"Better Loading Text"? Hardly. I took a look at this mod through FNV Edit and this mod is LITTERED with grammatical errors and bad phrasing. I don't recommend this mod. A few fixes is not worth all the errors.
can someone pls explain me how i can modify the loadingscreen tips ?? i have the GECK modkit installed of course and also a bit experience in modding. because i placed a new weapon near nipton, by a rock with a toy dino on it to mark it, and i want a tip wich says somethink like "search for the dino near nipton for a little surprise.."
Well, this is a little pointless to the person who's played the game a few times.
However, this is definitely something you'll want to download if you want to get rid of the incompetence within the game. I mean, there's the bugs and all, but when the tips are as useful as a 9mm pistol against a deathclaw, something has to be done. I'm not going to download this, but I will give you kudos. Hope you add hundreds of tips most people who play this game have no clue about. Then I would recommend this mod to whoever's new at fallout new vegas.

They are heavy
It didn't mention big guns at all, they are weapons that weigh a lot and require strength to use effectively.

Feel free fixing it.

Exactly what I thought when I read that.
