The new Space Suit and Space Suit Helmet found in Fallout New Vegas now provides unlimited underwater breathing when worn together.

Based upon the script I wrote for the original underwater breathing mod for Fallout 3, the 12-Bolt Diving Helmet, this mod adds an unlimited water breathing ability to the new Space Suit and Space Suit Helmet introduced in Fallout New Vegas, when worn together.
Because the Space Suit and its Space Suit Helmet come in two separate parts I couldn't use my original script and so I wrote a new one requiring both items to be worn for Water Breathing to be enabled.
Wearing the Space Suit itself will grant the 40% Radiation Resistance exactly like the vanilla version, but with the Space Suit Helmet equipped at the same time you gain the Water Breathing ability. Take off one or the other, or both, and the ability is lost.
Upon equipping both items you'll see a message indicating "Water Breathing" has been added, and you'll see "Water Breathing" listed under your Status>Effects. There's no good way to get rid of these messages AFAIK.
This mod has no meshes or textures to download, just an .esp to be placed in your Data folder.
"WETS" is an acronym for the Japanese Space Agency's Weightless Environment Test System at Tsukuba Space Center where space suits are tested in a large pool.
