About this mod

Adds the ability to craft many vanilla New Vegas rounds and several new types of rounds. Originally designed for snipers with the Hand Loader perk. Fairly realistic.

All new ammunition (except 10mm Full Power Load) can only be made by those with the Hand Loader perk. This is to keep it balanced with current ammunition crafting. If you want to use this mod with a character who does not have the perk you can open the console with the ~ key (left of 1) and use the command "player.addperk 0016581B" to give yourself the Hand Loader perk.

New ammunition has an increased chance of giving you a case when used. .22LR does not give cases when used because the primer is fixed inside the case so a used case is useless for reloading.

Armor Piercing ammunition has an "AP Core" suitable to its size. AP Cores may be acquired by breaking down a regular armor piercing round or by purchasing from the Gun Runners. Sabots may also be purchased from the Gun Runners. 100 of each AP core and 100 sabots are added during each inventory refresh. Incendiary Exponents may only be attained be breading down incendiary rounds.

Standard ammunition may be converted into hollow point by anyone with the skill to craft the standard ammunition

Surplus ammunition may be broken down by anyone with the skills to break down standard ammunition. .22LR, .38Special and .223 ammunition contains less powder than standard loads. 5mm and 5.56mm are identical to standard loads but do not give primers. The surplus primers are discarded due to their corrosive nature (this is what causes the x3 condition modifier).

NOTE If you downloaded the file labeled "New Ammunition Reloading v01" you'll have to manually delete the old file when installing the new one.

ABOUT NEW AMMUNITION
These match grade rounds are lovingly hand crafted to the finest quality, increasing their accuracy far beyond standard factory ammunition. Their primary use is competition shooting but they're more than capable of being used against the same moving targets as their less refined brethren. API and SLAP rounds are specialized rounds for specific applications. API rounds are designed for flammable armored targets and SLAP rounds are designed for heavily armored targets.
