About this mod

CONTAINS NO DLC CONTENT

--IMPORTANT NOTE--
I've decided to pass on this project to someone else. HellmanJK has included most of the content in these mods in his Fallout Universe mod. I'm going to leave these files up but they will not be updated. Go check out Fallout Universe! :D

--------------------------------------------------------

I know that having "legitimate" in the name sounds a lot like having a bar named "Legitimate Meeting Place for People Who Are Totally Mafia" but I put that in there so you'll hear me out instead of assuming that I'm just another noob posting official content illegally.

This is an attempt to allow people who purchased the DLC for Fallout 3 to enjoy the awesome armors and maybe even the weapons from those games in the world of New Vegas.

THIS MOD CONTAINS NO TEXTURES OR MESHES AND NEVER WILL. THIS MOD ONLY CONTAINS AND WILL ONLY EVER CONTAIN .esp FILES.
If you do not own the DLC this mod does nothing for you except add a nice pair of giant exclaimation marks to your game!

--------LATEST NEWS--------

Annnnd last conversion set is up! The Chinese Stealth Armor is apparently in NV already but it is lacking the DLC enchant and does not have separated helmet and suit, so I did a fixed conversion of that as well. Also the General's Coat mesh from vanilla Fallout 3 is missing in New Vegas. O_o So I've just skipped converting those figuring that there's too much overlap to make copying over the vanilla FO3 bsa files as well. I'm gonna take a break to work on some playing the game myself and doing some other mods for a time. But I do plan on releasing non-cheat versions for all the DLC packs posted here.

Blarg. Patched all the other existing DLC's to display hats properly and did a quick conversion of Broken Steel. Obsidian included nearly everything in Broken Steel in NV. Some of it doesn't appear to be used in the game but it's already converted in some form. The only exception as far as unique meshes/textures go is a Wig and the Hellfire armor. Got those two in and working fine. I'd do Anchorage now, but I'm afraid I've run of of time for the moment and need to get some real work done. Should get anchorage done by Friday at the latest I estimate.
Oh! And I also changed the Backwater rifle to use 10mm ammo instead of the 357 I'd mistakenly used. Thanks to Garfield007 for pointing that mistake out to me!

Huge number of changes to Zeta. Added new weapons, fixed hats, changed from AR to DT, tweaked armor stats to fit more closely with the NV statistics. Values have been tweaked to be more accurate as well, so this is probably into cheat territory for the moment. I want to make sure that the basic conversions for all 5 DLCs are done before I make non-cheat conversions which mix the DLC weapons into the NV world in a realistic manner. I'll probably convert Broken Steel in a (hopefully) rapid manner before polishing off Operation Anchorage. Then I'll probably fix the rest of the DLCs as far as stats go before creating realism versions.

Added the Pitt Races to the Pitt Conversion plugin.

10/29/2010
Just uploaded conversions of The Pitt armor and weapons. I haven't set the tribal power armor as requiring power armor. Partly because I always thought it was an annoying change from the old fallout games, and partly because I forgot. =P

Woot! Finished up my first draft of the Point Lookout DLC Conversions. The tribal races proved a little tough and the Bio-gas grenades aren't working fully yet, but other than that I've converted all the armors and weapons unique to the DLC. I'm probably going to have to rebalance many of these at some later point. I found myself able to wipe out nearly everyone in Goodsprings using just the Dismemberer on a level 1 character. That insta-kill proc is killer. Literally. Since Obsidian seems to have ported most of the Broken Steel content themselves, I'll skip over it for the moment and proceed straight to The Pitt. I've gotten several requests for the Tribal Power Armor and there's a lot of other unique weapons and armor in it.

Sorry about the long delay folks. Won't trouble you with the reasons, but things should be much more smooth from here on out. First polished release just posted for Zeta. I think I'll just work backwards from here because I can. So expect Point Lookout to be the next release.

====IMPORTANT NOTE====
This mod requires you to copy DLC .bsa files into your New Vegas folder. In order to do this you must know where they are. If they are not in your Fallout 3 Data folder, they are likely hidden away in your Application Data folder. For help locating them refer to this page:
http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Installing_Fallout_3_DLC

Installation:
1. Extract this mod to your Data directory and activate it in the launcher.
*WAIT DON'T GO YET! THERE'S MORE!*
2. Before using the mod, copy all DLC bsa files listed above as required from your Fallout 3 Data directory and into your New Vegas Data directory.
3. Rename the bsa files so they have the name of the related esp for this mod at the start of their name. Ex. "Zeta - Main.bsa" should be "DLCC_Zeta - Main.bsa"
4. Now you're ready to play!

If you do not copy the bsa and rename properly it you'll end up with a pair of giant exclamation marks!

Notes:
One of the nice features of this method conversion is that this mod is totally backwards compatible with any mesh replacers for body mods like Type 3 or HGEC. Just install them to the New Vegas Data directory like you would the install them to the Fallout 3 Data directory.

Known Bugs:
A few quirks with the 1st person iron sights I'll have to iron out, but other than that no major known bugs.

Silly Questions:
Q: Where can I download the textures and meshes from the DLC without buying the DLC?
A: Die in a fire.
