The ammo vending interface features a very nice number pad for entering the amount of ammo you'd like. There are actually 3 ways to input ammo amounts:

  • You can scroll on the counter box to increment the count by 5 each click
  • Hit the +/- buttons to change by 1 each click
  • Use the number pad to punch in an exact value


The value is persistent between ammo types, so you can quickly grab a bunch of whatever you want. I'm considering removing the scrolling since it's mostly redundant due to the number pad, and it's considerably slower and adds a lot of extra code to maintain the feature.

    Oh, Heaven's yes! I love the idea of being able to just enter the number you want.

    Only suggestion is to have it display the name of the current item being purchased or have it highlighted so there's no confusion.

      Easy enough to do. I'm also probably going to put a frame of some kind around the buttons, I just haven't figured out how. The box there now is not final, it was a positioning aid when I was setting things up. I might leave it though, just of course change the color to system so it matches everything else.
