I know this thing's 9 years old but how the hell do you recolor it to black??? Changing the specular color in nifskope makes it green and i set all the textures to black but nothing helps
Thanks everyone! A lot of what you see in the image is cannibalized and regurgitated from other existing mods with minor changes for personal taste.
@fiskin1 & @grimmjow19 The swords in the image are from the Prototype Arc Blade mod. I just created an off-hand weapon, rotated them 180 deg (for the reverse grip), and colored them black. I won't be releasing them in a mod because I'd need to get permission from the original author. From the comments, it appears that it may be ported over to NV.

@Leafar The backpack and sword are from other mods, so I won't release them without the original author's permission. For my character, the backpack is a portable dark fusion reactor that powers an energy shield and other equipment. I just tweaked it a little to match the armor and created various glow maps for when it's powering different equipment.

The sword is from Wolbrynes Ninja Swords mod. I just wanted a show sword on the back and this one fit perfectly: http://newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=38503
@grimmjow19 I also wanted melee dual wielding badly since the last Fallout. A couple of modders seemed to make it work, but never released their mods (Junin/JS Black & SgtSpectre from F3U). I'm finding that setting it up, aesthetically, is easy, but troubleshooting the bugs to make it work is a pain.
The armor is a combination of these two mods (with personal tweaks):
