But there's only one difficulty...you hold the gun on the mag...so you'll have to do two holding animations. I don't think the game is supporting this...
On a Thompson this would be no problem, you hold the gun on the handguard.
They served in east-germany too, and those drum mags only made problems. You must wind the mag up like an old watch (on the frontside of the mag is the windup-lever), then insert the munition. And after several years the mags are not functioning properly anymore and the gun jams because of bad munition feeding.
This was a problem of the Thompson-MPs too.
This is one of the reasons they used the magazine with 35 rounds.
As you could see in my profile, english is not my native language and I left school 15 years ago where I learned it. And if you don't use a language, you'll propably forget several things so I have to use dictionarys like leo.org
Have you ever considered making a mod which would add the correct calibres to all of your guns? Like 5.45x39mm for the AK-74 and the AN94, 7.62x25mm for this and the TT-33 etc.?

There's already a mod that does that. It's called CaliberX, but Millenia doesn't use it because he wants to keep his mods as dependancy free as possible. You can add them yourself with the GECK, though, and the author of the CaliberX mod has expressed interest in making a compatibility patch for Millenia's weapons pack once it's released, pending Millenia's approval.
And they used this guns too. They were using the guns too, as MP-717(r). The r for russian. And some were converted to 9mm Luger, the only thing that be must done for the conversion was to change the barrel. And they mounted a new magazine-holder, so the magazines of the german MP40 could be used in this smg.

the drums could be an extended mag mod.

translated to English it would mean "dady", or something like that
