Dog's split personality made him more than simply a joke, and accessing those personalities was also quite interesting, whereas Lily was essentially a joke.
And Christine, well simply the progression in that relationship without speech added a greater level of depth to it than the relationship with, say, Veronica.
I kinda wish all of the NPC's from Dead Money could have come back to the vanilla game. Maybe it's because we CAN'T and the limited time with them that made them seem better than the vanilla ones.
