Love this set, especially the configurations with less armor makes it very sleek

There is so many configurations for this set, I couldn't pick haha, but I'm really disappointed, because this is how it should look... but the silver color is caused by the cubemap, all I can get from the cubemap is the reflection but not this color...

maybe it needs adjustments to the metallic map/mask or the normal alpha. like increasing the light parts. or try other cubemaps. gamebryo engine works a bit differently than creation engine when it comes to env mapping.

I did a chrome effect one time with weapons. set the diffuse very dark then increase the light and contrast with the metallic mask

Yeah noticed it was a bit off, thought it was a deadric set at first glance. Still think you did a good job with tho.

Normal alpha makes it more glossy-ish rather than silver, I tried the cubemap from here https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/79216 and it did make the armor lighter, but still not how it's supposed to look. So I wanted to edit the original cubemap but it breaks and the engine uses the default cubemap even though i followed this https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/81028 but the cubemap breaks, I think I followed the save instructions?

but this is the original cubemap
And after saving on PS , that one with those round spheres is the fnv default one when no envmap is assigned

you need to adjust the metallic map then not the normal mask since cubemaps only affect the metallic map (also called specular map). Did you make sure you have the right shader flags are checked? just to make sure incase you missed.

And yeah I dont mess editing with cubemaps it needs some kind of other software to properly save them. I just use existing ones then adjust my metallic/spec map

I messed around with the metal maps, but still no color change, only changes in env map reflection intensity. I'm not sure about the flags, I check the envmap shader flag on the nif, there is also envmap scale but also only makes the reflection stronger, not change in color
