About this image

I'm thinking of building off my small Medical Center mod I did a while back, perhaps this was once a followers compound? Lost in a fiends raid? Or do I lean into the "Mad Brahmin Disease" angle? Is there any cut content related to this location? Anything to work off? Across the overpass is well, Overpass, so did this tie into that at one point?

I was just thinking about this today.

As far as I see it the most logical explanation for it being that way on that part of the map was that something happened to the owner and the business dried up. I was considering a mod where the area is kind of a squatter's den with generic NPCs.

You could add a lookout awning on the rail car roofs. They have stairs for access, so there's no reason anyone going up there wouldn't want some shade. Maybe a rifle and a box of ammo, binoculars, someone's lunch. Some evidence of past activity, set dressing, that sort of thing.

Perhaps the ranch was started by an old gold miner, from Redding. In Fallout 2 there's a mole rat fighting arena called "Molerat Mambo". In the lore, NCR took the town, annexed it and destroyed it's economy, which was based on gold mining (NCR has water backed money)

Mole Rat Ranch - lots of potential - more fencing, mole rat mud-wallow, guards, ranchers, a molerat meat/leather vendor....

I believe that originally it was a followers outpost where they domesticated mole rats. The mad brahmin likely came from Overpass, where someone was putting meat in their trough. It would be nice to have more Followers presence in the game.
