    If you fill the background color with roughly the same one as the poncho had you can eliminate this bright white edges

      It has nothing to do with that, it's just frayed material.

      Fraying is when the edges of a piece of fabric are ripped or worn. This results in the material having sloppy, loose edges and often losing some coloration of whatever was used to dye the material.

      It's from the Darryl Dixon companion mod on GUN. It's really just a ported and retexturd call of jaurez poncho though.
