About this image

Fallout Frontier is pretty good, I got it when it launched so I have some experience with it by now. That said it's extremely good, as long as aren't progressing the main quest very far and you just wander around doing side quests. What I did really love about the main quest was all the war stuff that felt like a proper war with the Vertibirds and active warzone, and the aesthetics were very cool, like the flying fortress. What made the main quest annoying was every single time the player character was forced into situations like being kidnapped like 5 times or something or being gassed even though you have power armor or filtering masks on, also when it stopped being about the war with the legion and more about James's Bond spy movie garbage, like literally remove everything related to Rancor and the main quest would be 60% better.
Putting aside quests the landscape is great, 100% better than fallout 4's attempt at making a city and even the non-city areas are pretty cool. And of course, the vehicles were amazing though I'm sad there wasn't much vertibird scenes.
I never encountered the fetish content and only encountered the snake fairy which I found odd but quickly ignored. overall, I have had a lot of fun with the Frontier.

Yeah, the Frontier had a lot of decent content like the side quest and the landscape and i kinda enjoyed the Crusader campaing, i think i'll re-download it to play that secret Rancor route wich i don't even know if it's real.

I played the main, NCR quest, until the point that I was "Captured" (The courier does not get "Captured") I'm a veteran of the US Army and I knew the bridge was a killbox before they ordered me to go down it. So I called a level of bullshit and reloaded a save.

I wandered about and bumped into the Crusaders, I played their quest and got a pretty kickass jericho energy weapon out of it. I personally thought America was annoying, like a third wheel type.

Caught the tunnel mod and went back to the Mojave, gathered my followers like Willow and Delilah etc. returned to the frontier and had MUCH more fun hunting legionaries.

Frontier caught a lot of unfair criticism IMO. not defending anyone in particular, I'm saying that criticism was generally speaking misdirected at the mod in general.
I'm in agreement with you that if you play the side benefits of the game and ignore the "Call of Duty/Medal of honor/mission impossible" quests, you will have more fun playing the game like fallout is meant to be played.
