    Having worked for the state government, I can verify the behavior of certain types of government employees, especially ones who fancy themselves in positions that give them even a little bit of perceived authority.   Anyway, great chapter.

      Yeah - it took him all of 4 years to travel from DC to the Colorado - in a vertibird.... And then another 2½ to get to where he is now....... Thank you very much Murat

    Government employee's! If you look up 'oxymoron' in a dictionary it will show you a Governmental "Civil Servant". Steve does better than I would. He seems to have that old school diplomacy down pat; "Don't ever show them where you tied up your goats unless you've already stolen theirs or at least know where they are"

      Oxymoron....... I had to look that one up. Then..... Yeah - at least some of them come off as tiny desktop generals within their departments. "I alone know" is an expresssion we use in danish - with contempt! Well.... Steve has big advantage that he can pass the buck - in this case to Veronica - and take shelter in the Sink with Willow, continuing with what he deems is important matters. Which those government types aren't I could have left them out of the story. Just another sideshow so to speak. But knowing how a modern society works I thought it would make sense within the realms of the NCR.
