About this image

This was one of my first WIPs shared to the Nexus back in 2018. Back when I had no clue how to load textures into Blender so texturing this thing was all guess work. The model is the vanilla new vegas model which someone turned playable (predates the Dragbody one, I'm aware that exists), but then I tweaked the proportions, rounder shapes, tail spiked pointier just more smoothness, probably the first time i used subdivide too BUT the real genius was using the Albino deathclaw texture from Fallout 4 on this model, pieceing bits together blindly and hoping they came out right ingame and I think I did a decent job for the time but I've never fully showed off all the angles so here it be.

The texture work and concept is cool, but... there's no nice way to put this: The proportions look like a caricaturized attempt at sexual dimorphism transplanted onto a completely incompatible skeleton. Deathclaws don't really do the thick thighs/wide hips thing.

"a caricaturized attempt at sexual dimorphism?"
Are you being cute-ironic or something?  You have a Bronie profile pic :/

Its cool Eggman, they got a point. If I redid this I’d totally tune it down, the skeleton definitely did not work for the arms or neck at times in game. I just liked the exaggeration at the time. Btw I had a bronie picture here at one point too :P Again, it’s just revisiting an oldie

Sexual dimorphism is the tendency of a species to have significant differences in outward appearance between sexes. Humans have obvious dimorphism, as do most mammals. Male cattle, deer, elk, etc., have horns, many female insects and arachnids tend to be larger than males, whereas some mammals show very little outward differences beyond reproductive organs. Dogs, cats, and horses are notable examples: Look at one from a distance and you'd have trouble telling which gender it was.

In other words, I meant exactly what I said and nothing more.

I told my teachers, once I had the means then I'll be flying. I ended up having to teach myself in the end and now I have so much in the back of my mind, I'm just firing them out there. I have an idea and then I try it, its the best work ethic.

Edit: but i do really need to sleep right now.
