What a fun place. Maria definitely looks more like a 1911 than a 9mm.

Same designer. But a very different gun. You can see my explanation below. I looked it up. Based on the FN Browning Hi-Power Thank you Etholas

Of course John Browning. A very prolific designer of firearms indeed.

Ever played with the flora overhaul mod? It really gives the place the vibe it would have had in a world where this game wasn't shackled by console limitations.

Normally I play with a flora overhaul. And it looks great for sure. But after running around down there for three hours I decided to uninstall when going back in. And turn up the light a bit..... Thank you Key

It never fails, I almost always get turned around in vaults.   Should leave a trail of bread crumbs or something.   One of my favorite places to visit, it has a decided creep factor to it I like.  Great shots of the place, Steff.

Hmm - had to look that one up. I had heard/seen the name somewhere. But've never read it. But maybe the spore plants..... It's one of the better - and least spooky - of the vaults. Thank you Mart

This place used to drive me crazy, but it has crown on me over the years

One of the vaults in my opinion. Though I STILL get lost But coming from Vault 11 this is heaven Thank you Esmerios

I guess it's one of those places that you either love or hate. The "puzzle" of navigating the halls and levels drives me crazy. The vegetation is a welcome change though -- good shots. I see that Spiffyskytrooper posted a big texture mod. It's been a few years since Dazaster's, tapiok's and NMC. It's big, but the desert floor textures are amazing.

Thank you Laird I don't like dungeons one bit. I get lost each and every time. No matter how often I've been there That said - at least Vault 22 is a pretty place. Though the story is spooky I did a little background check on Maria. If you're interested see my answer below

It does. I wasn't sure which semi it was w/o seeing the grips. I just checked the wiki -- it says 9 mm. Hmm... looks like a 1911 to me.

It's the first time I'm carrying it. Usually it's at home in a box or on a display shelf. I've found out it is actually a very useful gun. Wiki says it's based on real-world FN Browning Hi-Power. Which - though designed by THE Browning- is a different design from his 1911. At the time he was hired to design this pistol he had sold the 1911 patents to Colt Firearms. Thus he had to work around that patent when the designing the FN pistol. Thus they look very much the same. But are different pistols. And not only because of the caliber Thnak you very much OLBM and Laird

Yep. It's a very pretty place for sure. A nice contrast to the bleak desert. Thank you very much Karna
