I told myself I wouldn't launch NV. It's been years and with the NMM being obsolete I knew my mods would be broken. But.. Fallout is not the same without *him*. I have no self control.

"Who dares wins". I think this fits you perfectly here. You dared do it - and you won Btw - I'm still using NMM - even for FO4 (Vegas is long gone) And with the updates it works very well for me. My affair with Vortex lasted about 10 minutes.........

  Man after trying FO4 it just always makes me want to come back. I'm never gonna get to try those dlcs because I just really can't stay interested in that game.

  Far Harbor is really nice, I'd really recommend it. The area is beautiful and the actions of the protag have some impact on what's going on, sidequests are really good. Workshop dlcs are just laughable, Automaton gives some nice robot building function, but is incredibly dull and plays like and endless corridor of dark buildings. Nuka World has it's moments, the area is pretty and the whole vibe of post-apoc theme park is creepy and awesome at the same time. So I'd really suggest to maybe just travel to areas of Far harbor and Nuka World? They are really beautiful <3

  Good to know. I saw screenshots when Far Harbor was first released and I liked the look of it. I just felt like I should do the main quest first but gahh that kills it for me. I cannot find it in my heart to care about Shaun. :')

  I so much agree! Main quest is the biggest bummer of the game, all 4 campains are horrible (mostly because the factions are horribly written), so just leave it. Dlcs and sidequests are so much better. Far Harbor had some tiiiiny nice additions to it, if the main quests wer done for the Institute faction, and that's about it with how main storyline is connected with dlcs :D

Sheri's back! I can't even imagine V and Niner in NV without Sheri and the pooch. Btw, I'm still using NMM (and it's being regularly updated) and have no problems with it.

  It's really just not the same without Sheri. I can remake the dogs but.. There's nothing even close to my beloved irradiated goat in Boston. And that's good to know. Last time I tried to come back a few years back I got messages on NMM saying it was no longer supported and to switch to Vortex... which then really messed up my load order.

  It's being maintained over at GitHub now and available for download here. I tried Vortex and, personally, I didn't like it. And for NV, I still use, like Cormell, FOMM occasionally although most of the time I install mods manually.

Sheridan!! Vortex is actually pretty good, but I still use FOMM for New Vegas. I just don't feel like changing.

  I could never get FOMM to be super reliable. I need to gut my game and start from the ground up.. Maybe then I'll commit to finding a mod manager that really works.
