About this image

Less Empty City of New Vegas is a mod I'm spearheading and currently working on.

The mod is an ambitious expansion for the extremely neglected 'City of New Vegas' and it's surroundings. The mod is in it's early stages and aims to try to recreate the City Center of Las Vegas and it's skyline which is concentrated around the Strip and it's center. The layout is based on actual buildings in LV with slight adjustments due to the way the layout of the actual city is in-game.

All made using available in-game assets.

This image is honestly just a crude mock-up and the final mod is planned to be even more grand with both macro and micro detail.

Takes inspiration from the aesthetics of Fallout 4, retro-futuristic art and concepts and of course old Vegas.

Let me know if you wanna contribute to the project. We’re always looking for help and people to help make this mod the best it can be.

Makes Vegas look so much better even at this stage of the project. I'll assume you will be reworking the ncr farms too. That place could certainly use it. You could compact that farm land in a casino or two that has been converted into a vertical farm and have the rest of that large plot of land filled with ruined resorts and skyscrapers.

This looks awesome mate, Loved Watoga's cityscape in 76 and this looks just as fitting for vegas! Good luck!

this feels like it could fit, after you completed the mainquest for New-Vegas with either house or the Independent ending with the Securitrons.
as it show's new vegas starting to rebuild itself. as house or the Courier intends to do so.

unfortunately i cannot see this fitting with either the ncr or legion seeing as both sides are selfish and are only in it for vegas for the Resources for the NCR's over expanding greed. and Glory for the Legion's Barbaric and Egotistical nature.

Do you plan on interiors? you could probably make some really beautiful exterior/interiors with a room with half the building missing with the outside, electrical sparks, creepy atmosphere, a few diagonal shaped rooms/floors  ( from collapses in some buildings ) with turned over furniture. Lots of potential :D And skyscrapers with no functioning power that are dark and spooky to navigate with its own dangers. Sierra madre suite assets would come in handy would make like perfect grand skyscraper hallways  with big windows for the outwards part of the building as well as the hotel assets.

If there was another suggestion i had would be to remodel the exterior space where the strip is and fit the strip worldspace and freeside onto the main map with a lot of well worth it modifying :D if done successfully people may support it, performance in the game depends on the cell size , e.g the memory limit of 172mb in the geck window so if done right it would perform no different :)  Freeside wouldn't need to be as big since a lot of the buildings out of the map is just for detail to make it look bigger from inside, so like, the buildings on the main map would take the place of background LOD structures while the main walkable area is integrated

Maybe mccarran on the main map too, it would really be like an uncut worldspace and the map looking like original intention  What you're doing has the potential to be framework for future new vegas uncut remasteres as the moborma mods are pretty much outdated/break things :(

Keep in mind that thus is set 200 years after a nuclear war. Too many intact buildings would look out of place. I would think fallout 3s DC ruins are the primary model to go by.

In any event, I'm excited to see what you create!

Tbf though, the city area of LV wasn't actually hit by any nuclear weapons due to Mr. House's defences, so it would make more sense for LV of all places in Post-War America to have standing buildings, although I imagine the skyscrapers would start to crumble a little.
