    Believe it or not, it's a waste of your time.

      Yeah, it's like realtime weapon modding.

      Nice try, cuz realtime weapon modding, unlike proper DW, is doable

      I meant it's just as unnecessary.

      Most mods are gimmicks. But the point stands.

      Why? I do enjoy spending an hour or two everyday, experimenting with things. This is no different than any other mod.

      Soon you'll discover than attachments have to go for both guns. Which is doable, but extreme pain. Then, if you aim to wield different weapons (say, beretta and 1911)- it will hit you the hardest, because only main hand will apply proper damage, impact visuals, scripts and ammo effects.
      It's a rabbit hole. I don't discourage you, but I'd be an a-hole by not telling you it might end up with tons of time put into the mod, where result might not be satisfactory. But if you enjoy the process alone - ye, it's a fun piece of mod idea to wrap your head around.

      a very quick note you might find useful. if you don't care about ironsights - you can make LMB and RMB shoot separate hands, you just gotta block aim & attack keys, but track them yourself. When LMB is pressed - change fire anim to left hand with knvse, and use tapcontrol 4. Same for RMB.

      As neat as it is to look at, a realistic version of this would then reduce your accuracy by 90%, it's not a real life thing.

      @Xilandro
      Seems like you're describing a scripted solution, where the second gun is fired through scripts (Fireweapon?). Mine is currently a scriptless solution, so any dmg values and ammo effects should apply correctly, because indeed, its a one weapon. I press lmb and the gun is fired either from the left or right hand, depending which fired last, and its always cycles, even after you unequip it. No plans for different weapons in each hand, although doable i think. I like to keep it simple, like dual guns in Warframe for example.
      I appreciate the advice, i will be trying scripting after i'm done with main thing.

      Spoiler:
      Show

      Never really cared for excessive realism in video games, fun gameplay is what matters to me.

    I've seen 3 maybe 4 different attempts to bring dual wield into NV. All of them failed. I hope yours will be more successful :)
