You are given 2 playable player characters to choose from. which both have 2 different story actions and endings. and unique powers.

Meetra Surik: Light Side, 

Darth Nihilus: Dark Side,


if you choose meetra surik you choose to follow the light side but at any time meetra can turn to the dark side if the player wishes. the players karma level and actions will heavily affect the story and its endings for meetra surik.

if you choose Darth Nihilus, there is no turning back to the light side. Darth Nihilus is a sith Vampire that feeds on all life and seeks its ultimate destruction and extinction.. choosing to play as Darth Nihilus you choose to seek to annihilate the jedi and the sith and eventually feed on the entire galaxy devouring worlds and all life until nothing exist. ”There is no strength in the hunger he possesses… and the will behind his power is a primal thing. And it devours him as he devours others—his mere presence kills all around him, slowly, feeding him. He is already dead, it is simply a question of how many he kills before he falls.“
