About this image

I just found this kicking about on my hard drive from months ago, so figured I'd throw it up. Since then, I've switched from Vurt's fertile overhaul to the dead version...because it seems more realistic, but I do still like this.

I use the live version of Vurt's, the explanation I use is the greening of the Mojave is due to climate change. Nice shot, Sonja.

That's actually a really good explanation... I'll have to keep that in mind.
      Thanks!

It's nice to see a live tree every now and then, but you're right, the dead version seems more realistic.
    Looks great!

Exactly... I mean, this is the post-apocalyptic dessert we are talking about, after all. What I've done instead, alongside the dead version, is add Vurt's new plant textures, in addition to some others, and I have a mod that improves the grass.
This combination provides some splashes of colour to the desert, but it still feels plausible. In real life, when devastating forest fires occur, it are the smaller plants and bushes that re-emerge first. I've hiked in places that have experienced forest fires, and it's always incredible to see vividly coloured blooms and a profusion of grasses amidst downed, blackened trees. So.. yeah... my current set up does feel more lore-friendly.
      Cheers, btw.
