This is incredible! It would be an awesome pic of NCR Troops riding horses into battle, like in "All Roads." It may not be a heavily irradiated two-headed radhorse, but who cares? It's awesome were even getting ANY type of horse in the game! :D
Why do you delete my comment? I take time to look at ur image, think about it, comment about it, endorse it and u simply click delete? Whats wrong? I ask again (and again polite): only 1st person or also 3rd person?
why...? well im post an image to show a beta image about to realease, and you say " hey im about to realease my same mod" ok now for this you have to realease the mod first and for all...and hope you really fix the serius problem on the script ,because IA dont detect if dont fixed . good luck and explain your self to all people who was waiting im release this .
Thats the problem with deleting a comment: I never said I want to release a mod. I just said how I did it for my game with the help of a mod that is long released for new vegas and fallout 3. So I never wanted to release anything because i dont own anything releated to this. Just wanted to know how u did it. Maybe you are good at animations, i dont know. Thats why I asked. So dont blame me for anything and pls calm down. It was just a question :) Good luck on your release!
I recommend modifying the horse design so that its within the lore about how the radiation has changed/mutated the horses slightly, horse in the fallout world resemble unicorns somewhat and aren't as weak as their pre-war counterparts
TheGreatBhan At the moment, horses are extinct in the Fallout universe. It is sufficient to say that any appearance of horses in mods is considered not lore friendly, regardless of the mutations. But I am very curious where have you seen a "unicorns that aren't as weak as their pre-war counterparts" information.
But by the 2170's, horses had long been extinct in the American wastelands. Although there are rumors that horses have been seen in scattered records and that they are still present in southern Central America.
Also, certain species have been created by radiation, while romantics refer to them as 'Unicorns' many people know them by there earthier descriptions of 'Knobheads'.
Both types of horses have retained their pre-War characteristics of speed, strength, and versatility. They are a multifarious species in that they can be used to scout and to make war, for food and hide and to pull heavy loads such as caravans. In this, they are near if not more useful than brahmin.
Adaptions The horses that survived and adapted after the Great War became leaner and tougher and able to survive on almost anything; they have also become more surefooted which is necessary because of the rocky landscape they often have to traverse. In general, horses are still similar to their pre-War cousins but have less hair, and have grown in size.
Can I have a link with horses that are confirmed by canon? Edit. Some actual info on horses from non-fanfiction sources (fallout bible, CA emails, wiki): Chris Avellone stated several times that horses did not survive the great war. First in the "Q&A" for the Fallout bible, and then again, after the "All Roads" novel. He said it was an error that horses got into the image, and he cannot confirm that horses still exist, even so, during work on FNV, they've removed all mentions of horses from the game (one of Raul's stories), because they didn't want to imply horses survived the Great War. Moreso, horses never appeared in Fallout games. And were mentioned only once in Fallout Shelter, in a way that is open for a debate (Ol' Painless rifle description: "can put your horse, or a Deathclaw, out of its misery in a second"), and can hardly be considered as a confirmation.
Just to make things clear. I like horses and their addition to the Fallout would be greatly appreciated. But I don't like Bhan making "recommendations" to mutate a horse into a unicorn, because of fanon ;D
Yeah, horses are absolutely not confirmed alive in canon. There's nothing pointing towards this - except for the all roads comic. However as Xilandro said, this was deemed a mistake on their behalf and horses existing in it is not canon. But I'm sure someone could always make a retexture making them look a bit more mutated.
im not going to make a stupid unicorn im not a fan canon boy .... guys talk about canon and later download modern weapons packs or tactical packs armors... really ?
This looks amazing. I would not worry about if its supposedly "lore friendly". Cats used to be supposedly extinct in Fallout too, but they are all over the place in the Commonwealth. Sure someone could theorize they were synth cats, but synth cats were still genetically engineered cloned cats and as Dr. Malcom said in Jurassic Park, "nature finds a way". Synth horses could have escaped and started breeding again. Horses could have survived in isolated areas or preserves like those in Van Buren. Their cells and embryos might have been stored in some vault or place like Big MT or even Nuka World, note the water buffalo and antelope there. There are so many possibilities with a science fantasy like Fallout, hell the Zetans may have brought the horses back to earth after the nuclear war. I would not worry about Chris Avellone's disturbing personal vendetta against horses and cats. In real life horses would survive a global nuclear holocaust, they survived the Toba Event and the eruption of Yellowstone, which were both far worse than any nuclear fireworks show humanity could pull off.
