I had just popped the cap off another Gamma Gulp beer when I saw a big cloud of dust rolling up the road from Jean.
"Big dust storm comin' in Pete," I remarked.
"Nah, listen," Easy Pete said, His hearing was always better 'n mine. "It's a Bighorner stampede. Ain't seen one o' them since, oh, I dunno the summer of '59, I reckon it was.
"You're both wrong," Trudy said as she appeared on the porch, a pair of binoculars in hand, "Shoot, one of ya can't hear and the other can't see. It's Bighorners, all right , but they got riders on their backs. Looks like they're carrying something -- a flag maybe, no, it's a banner."
"A banner, huh. What's it say, Trudy?" I asked.
"Can't tell for sure. Looks like Get Ready, Yeah, Get Ready, but I can't read the rest."
"Get ready, ya say," Pete tugged his beard whimsically. "I sure hope it's a rodeo comin' ta town."
"Rodeo? Geez, Pete, where do ya come up with this crap?"
A moment later the thundering herd was close enough for all of us to read the banner through the choking dust.

    GET READY
    THE DIARY
    COMING SOON

    (maybe)
Well, I sure hope so. I would 'a added more to the story above, but I ran out of ideas.

Looking forward to Garrett's Diary, too. Bernt hinted that he may be starting it up again, or something like it.

Thank you everybody here @Cormell - I know what I said. And I've got a lot of ideas. Main problem is that I tend to get sidetracked........ Like all of a sudden roaring off on a holiday - and wanting to tell all of Nexus about it...... Not to mention this silly little thing that just wanted out. I don't have time playing the game because of these distractions On a more serious note - RL is catching up. Spring is here and a lot of stuff needs to be done. Summer wheels on the cars, the garden is a mess, we need our caravan ready for camping. Oh - and I have to go to work too......

Nice tribute to those who devote so much time to telling us the tales their imaginations cook up. I do enjoy reading them, too.

You only need to remember two words... 'Poetic License'

Once you grant yourself poetic license you are immune to everything

Disclaimer: The writer of this comment has granted himself 'poetic license' and hence talks more bovine field cakes than a politician on magic mushrooms

ROFL I go with "artistic license" myself. Because - micning words Back when I was having Garrett do the New Vegas Bounties I had this one guy pushing me (trying to) to do this/do that and "that was not the way it was meant by the author" (Of NV bounties) I had my own ideas that I kept doing and in the end Brigand really told this guy off

You've missed out the really fun parts, over the last month or so I've....

    A. Written myself into a corner.
    A. Written a plot that included a character who had died a while back.
    A. Noticed a huge plot hole and had to rewrite everything
    A. Written a plot so complex that even I didn't understand it.
    A. Had the NPC version of the player character wandering around in shot and had to reshoot everything.
    A. Wrote a scene set in the past that included characters who couldn't possibly have been there.

I've binned more stuff than I've been keeping. :D

Reminds me.......... I've got a ton and quart of notes. And I haven't even started writing yet......... But I know what you mean. I've got a lot of ideas - but what if I put this guy in that place - just to find out I killed him back when. And I set up Raul like this - but what if I need him elsewhere. Or maybe I should just kill him and....... Oh my Too funny Jim. Thanks a lot

It's funny you should mention Raul, he's another one I want to use but can't remember if he's dead or not.

No worries about Raul. I think you can port the Resurrection Spell from Elfland.

The story board for my current story has been re-written maybe a dozen times. And thank the heavens for flashbacks.

I remember doing all those things before. Especially with how many times Bethesda titles had to be re-installed. So much avoidance of previously dead characters. And in Skyrim, creating NPC versions of player characters, but needing a different save file for each PC done with the same quests

I wonder if the justification would be a valid legal defence in the case of the last query?

Still didn't get SCIP10 retextured and pimped up so it can show its ugly mug again. Meaning the main plot can't progress. Lazyness, the capital sin of everyone.

So right you are. And then RL comes knocking at your door. Not to mention the sins of the past (someone asking questions about a mod I have forgotten - almost- everything about....) Thank you Vradic
