   I'd call it terrifying. Those particular horns don't just belong to any old bovine, those are the horns of Syncerus caffer caffer. The African Cape buffalo. The Widowmaker. The Black Death. They're cartoonishly aggressive and responsible for more big game hunter deaths than anything else in Africa. The concept of hate and vengeance is definitely not lost on these animals who are known to mutilate their victims' corpses long after death. Even sometimes they'll return later to mutilate some more. All attempts to domesticate them, or even just crossbreed with domestic bovines, have failed miserably because they respond to everything with murder. I've no idea how hippos got their reputation while Cape buffalo remain unknown to the average person. Hippos are docile sweethearts by comparison.
