    HHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
the visual orgasm! one of my favorite rifle of the universe metro, if you intend to animate it as in LL his will ask a crazy work! knowing that the weapon has 6 reload different, more precisely with each bullet drawn the reloading is slightly different .

It will be animated like it is in 2033. But the reload anim will be a bit different. In order for it to count up sequentially (like the hunting shotgun) we have to use a repeating animation that places the shell in the same spot each time.
So we will probably have it: insert shell, rotate mechanism, and repeat. Some scripts will need to be written and NVSE and JIP LN will be required to use this mod.

I don't plan to make any other Metro guns after this. I already teamed up with Millenia & co. to make the Duplet a few years ago.

I know the gun is from Metro, not quite an original design. I just really have to wonder what the spring on the barrel is for. It doesn't seem to link up to any part of the operating system.

It's a long-recoil type action. The barrel recoils with the bolt for a bit before moving back forward. This is similar to the way the Luger toggle-lock action works as well, but the spring is contained in the handgrip instead of on the barrel, and the barrel and bolt return at the same time since they are linked together. Here, the spring on the barrel is only there to move the barrel back forward after recoiling.

In this slow motion video you can see the entire slide and barrel assembly recoil together with the bolt: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s-e1Ktt4GM0

I tried to make this thing as faithful as possible from looking at low-res screenshots, and I couldn't see any physical connection between the bolt & barrel. So as far as I can tell, the barrel just impinges on the bolt and there is no physical locking mechanism. I did take a few artistic liberties in an attempt to make "more sense" of the design. For example I modeled a small tab on the barrel which keeps the spring in place, and the front-most bolt piece is probably nothing like it is on the original model from Metro since I could hardly see it in screenshots. Obviously this gun could never exist and operate in reality.

See this video I made for example animations as well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3aUsDy2i0h4

I looked at a slow-mo from the in-game weapon, I see what you mean about the system now.

On its basic premise, the Uboinik is simply an overcomplicated revolving shotgun. Ignoring various omissions of operation, the biggest problem with the gun's design is that most shotgun shells are rimmed, and pushing a rimmed cartridge forward from a revolving cylinder is likely to render the gun inoperable one way or the other.

No idea how this is going to be animated in FNV - but excited to see.
