This is beautiful! I love how the bear head used from the scorched sierra power armor implies that Vulpes got in a tussle with Colonel Royez and ripped the damn thing off! That's why there's only one pauldron and not two! Excellent.

      Oh yeah!

I mean, sure, this is way over the top and all... but, given the context of a bunch of pompous fascist cosplayers with the self awareness of a rabid chimp, I think in this case way over the top is JUST RIGHT.

Not fancy enough, needs 2 more flags from the sides, 4 extra coins, and an "I <3 Caesar" tattoo on the neck.

JK, I actually really dig this, it'd fit perfectly with Vulpes's whole "I'm here to wreck your s*** in the name of the Legion." vibe he's got going on.

Two more flags you say? "having ideas"

No, seriously now. Even the real vexilifer is waaaay over the top

I think it's okay to have one of them (Vulpes, in case) dressed more extravagantly. Being a bit ridiculous is up to something I like, because I've always seen the Legion as a distorted parody of the real Roman Empire.

    It's a bit over-designed, yeah.

Seems pretty fancy and extravagant sure...but...I don't know, it kinda adds to it for me. It seems so over the top but I find it enduring in a way, the legion are kinda of an extravagant faction. However, if you want to make him seem a bit less over the top, I say lose the plates, flags and trade out the bear helmet for a slightly updated fox helmet.

Helmet is not negotiable  I absolutely hate the vanilla.

Ok, I try a variation. No jewelry, no cape, with different shoulder pads and I think normal Legionary arms too, instead of those of metal armor.
I'm going to change the central disk too, I'm going to use the same one that's adorning Caesar's tent.

Maybe the colors are too strong, too.

Ha, fair enough, I just slightly prefer vanilla, since it makes more sense when my player mentions it in the terrfying presence option, it's a small nitpicky immersion thing yeah, but god damn it, it matters to me!. Jokes aside, the revised helmet is really cool, love how it's not just a stuffed animal head, it's been slightly armored.

Still a bit over the top at least with the flag, but in a way you expect with an elite, more so an elite who is dead set on wanting to spread the legion's message, which is the first thing he talks to you about. Mostly tamed in other aspects of the armor, and fits in really well. As much as I love the over the top silliness of the first version, this second version will probably better suit your mod as a whole.

huummm................. I have always found it rather idiotic that Vulpes is clothed with Vexillarius armor, being himself a frumentarius, because one class is the exact opposite of the other. As if Obsidian had done this just to differentiate him, you know? But being a fancy peacock combines with him. The rule is clear: to climb up the ranks in the Legion, you have to be strong and he is the only member that has a different type of strength, which is his tracer methods.

The armor of the Frumentarii that I made, is based on that of the Ulysses. Definitely does not match with Vulpes or his mission in Nipton, as you have said.

Okay, so I must go ahead with the first armor I showed today as the Vulpes' and the second, even more simplified with vanilla flag as the untitled vexillarius.

And Frumentarii armor only for Karl, since he does not make the slightest issue of hiding his identity, even if you come singing the NCR anthem.

Right, right, sounds good! I won't lie, I don't know who Karl is, since even till this day, I have yet not done a legion playthrough, lol.

Hey, more respect for Karl, after all he is always eating in the place of honor, at the table of the Great Khans =p

      (really, you can´t miss him)

OH. Oh that guy, yeah. This playthrough I had him killed by Papa Khan and the other khans by showing Papa karl's diary.
"Khan's, escort this legion dog out of our camp, and if he is too weak to run, kill him where he stands!"

Oh geez, I imagine. But you really shouldn't have, the bear helmet is alright! Worst comes to worst, I can just edit the dialogue myself.

Very well done. The only part I would remove is the cape because it makes more sense since there's a flag on the back. It will also look less extravagant as you mentioned. I also really like the short-sleeve version you made as a result of input, so I think it would be cool if you had both a long-sleeve and short-sleeve version for more variety.
