My only problem with this is, if Vulpes did become a Vulpine, even if it was something that happened after all of his achievements, all indications are the Legion would dump him like a scorpion-infested jockstrap as a "subhuman".
Then again, despite their obvious misogyny, none of them will go any further than words with a Legion-allied female Courier, so maybe they're just gigantic hypocrites.
If Caesar was cool with Vulpine Vulpes, I think the rest of the Legion would be. Especially if it was something that happened after he became leader of the frumentarii. Now, before that? Scorpion-infested jockstrap. They are GIGANTIC hypocrites *glances at Caesar's auto-doc*.
