Fallout New Vegas

Well after a long, long, LONG time of procrastination, frustration, and much tooth-gnashery and pulling of hairs, Skeletonizer 2.0 is on the cusp of completion. I was going to post it today, but after doing a quick last-minute playtest with no other needless mods installed, my poor little mod that could was being just a little bit screwy, seeming to activate on some NPCs but not others, or only with headshots. I'm really disappointed but otherwise not surprised; this is half the reason I've been putting off updating this mod for so very long; every step forward is another step back it seems. Still, I feel pretty confident that I'm at the home stretch, I just need to fix this one little bug and hopefully I'll be posting it properly sometime within the next few days.

In the meantime I just wanna say a great big thanks to the Nexus modding community for being so very, very helpful in making this mod come to life.

Been working great for me. On TTW. I just use the Disentgrator dev weapon to immediately proc your mod. Your mod works interestingly with BURN. the skeleton pops in like it should, but drops to the ground and starts writhing and kicking around with Burns death animation. Lol.

really? Interesting, I was thinking of combining the "panic and run" effects of that mod with mine here, but I wanted to get mine working first. I've actually recently got the biggest hurdles taken care of so I'll be posting the finished product sooner than I thought.

If there's a way or an option to exclude the burned skeleton, I'd welcome it. or replace specifically that with a charred corpse in the game; but I'm sure those would probably need to be rigged; unless the same "Suit" trick you used for the skeleton works as intended?

Well, I suppose the simplest way to do that would be to replace the skeleton with an Effect Shader that would cover an NPC with a charred texture, maybe have separate ones for both the skin and the clothes. For an actual charred corpse like you suggest though, yeah it'd have to be rigged up properly. Dunno where I would start with that; I haven't done anything with 3D models in a long, long time. I guess you could rig a feral ghoul model to a human NPC's skeleton and retexture it to look more like a charred corpse but actually doing that is beyond my modding ken.

Also I tried installing the BURN mod along with the latest version of my mod, and while it does make people panic and run, I didn't see the death animation you talked about.

Strange. I usually get them to desentigrate with any flame weapon or fire damage.

Have you tried giving yourself 100 in skills? I usually do for testing. But it should still work regardless.

Ill upload a video here in a bit.
