Fallout New Vegas

To use FCO with AWOP ... only select the "clean teeth" ( Teeth Textures / Clean Textures ) option when installing FCO. Do not select any other options. Do not install any other mods or patches that change NPC body or face appearance. FCO with "clean teeth" is the *only* supported install for AWOP and AWOP's patch for FCO.

1 ) Install NVSE  ( if not already installed -- FCO requires it )

2 ) Install UIO  ( if not already installed -- FCO requires it )

3 ) Install FCO v3.0  ( select *only* Clean Textures for Teeth Textures -- do *not* select other options )

4 ) Install FCO v3.1  ( allow all files to be replaced )

5 ) Install our compatibility patch for FCO v3 using our AWOP Compatibility Patches download

6 ) Position AWOP's .esm file to be above FCOMaster.esm in your load order

7 ) Disable FCO - Russell.esp  ( if not needed )

8 ) Disable FCO - OHSB NPC Edits.esp

9 ) Set bLoadFaceGenHeadEGTFiles=1 in all three game .ini files  ( FCO requires this -- see instructions below )

10 ) use a mod manager to toggle Archive Invalidation off and then on again  ( also required by FCO )

Now check to see if NPCs look okay.  If NPCs do look okay after completing the steps above, you can then install other NPC body and face changes to see if they are also okay -- uninstall the change if not okay.  It is very possible that other changes will not work correctly.

Be sure to edit three (3) separate game .ini files ...

• FALLOUT.INI in the saved games folder
• FalloutPrefs.ini in the saved games folder
• Fallout_default.ini in the game's install folder where FalloutNV.exe is located

Change this entry in each .ini file:

bLoadFaceGenHeadEGTFiles=0

To be this instead:

bLoadFaceGenHeadEGTFiles=1

It is usually located near the bottom of the [General] section of each file, just before the [Display] section.

    Thank you so much! I've been messing around with this for like 3 hours and It's been a complete nightmare. The face was fine but the arms and chest were a different colour for certain characters. It was driving me absolutely insane. The mod author only says to change the option in fallout.ini and falloutprefs.ini but also doing it in fallout_default.ini has fixed the problem for me. This post needs to be easier for people to see. Thanks again!
