So now I'm doing the proper announcement. I've worked out the setting and backstory (not fully, but whatever, enough to announce. I can do the details later.)

Obscurum III - Liberation

Society has collapsed due to a series of economic depressions, riots and civil war. The world have regressed technologically for decades and the streets are run by gangs. These gangs come in several forms all with different ideals and beliefs. Including the player's gang - The Red Rioters. Set on freeing the people of Nevada from the more oppressive and exploitative gangs.

The gameplay will be less focused on gunfights this time. There will still be guns, but older guns. Homemade guns. Muskets, grenades and melee weapons will prevail in combat. The combat itself will be fast paced and brutal just like before, but with a bit more player input rather than just luck. Pandemic was all about depicting how war was unfair and messed up. Now it's about enjoying a good scrap.

I've begun work on faction scripts and territory systems. You will need to fight to expand your gang and help the people. Each gang have different units and weapons, and the tougher gangs will move closer and closer to modern warfare. Start out with baseball bats and molotovs, and move forward with AKs and pipe bombs.

You will be able to recruit gang members to fight by your side, and upgrade them as you take more territory. Defeating certain gangs will unlock new weapons and abilities for your soldiers.
