Fallout New Vegas

So, I thought an update about updates was in order.

I've been tweaking the mod since release, taking out some bugs, rewriting and revoicing some lines and even whole characters, improving audio quality, all to polish the mod and raise its quality level. I'm satisfied with the polish at this point, and am still planning on releasing two final updates, with some tweaks and rewrites, and a voice actor change for the preacher.

I did try to deliver on what I'd announced earlier. I contacted quite a few modders about adding custom weapons and armor to the mod, however most didn't respond, and the ones that did seemed to lack the time and motivation to commit to another project (I'm assuming the impeding release of FO4 factored into that).

Brandon's voice actor also doesn't seem to have the time, unfortunately, to finish voicing the rest of the part. I'm still open to adding the VA and doing the lp sync, but real life troubles and concerns take precedence of course. Unless something unexpected happens, Brandon will remain only partially voiced.

As for the extra content, the slideshow and quest content, I decided to skip on that for two reasons. First, most players don't d/l the mod to play through the game with it, even though that's how it's designed, with all the remarks and interections and developing conversations. Adding the companions' own slides to theĀ  vanilla ending slideshow would probably not be seen by most, and it makes me questions whether it's worth it or not.

As for the additional quest content I'd mentioned, I'm currently working on a new mod, for another game (Shadowrun) and also contributing as a designer on The Frontier. I decided to focus on new projects, instead of adding a bit more content to this mod, which would be supplementary, really. I'm not completely satisfied with the companions quests, but I'll leave them at that. I can't make time for everything, so something would have been left out.

Update 1.05 will be out within a few days, and 1.06 will follow, most probably as a last update before Fallout 4.

Thanks to everyone who played the mod, and to all the encouraging and flattering messages, and to the criticisms and commentary which helped make the mod better, both throughout development, and also after release (I do listen, yes).

Cheers.
