New Vegas, meet mods, mods, meet New Vegas

The Fallout: New Vegas GECK has now been released on the Bethesda website that officially launches the modding scene for New Vegas. Irrespective of the similarities of the New Vegas GECK with the Fallout 3 GECK a big thank you is in order to Bethesda and Obsidian for releasing the GECK on launch day for everyone to use. Remember modding using an official SDK from the developers isn't a right, it's a priviledge handed down from the developers. They don't have to do it and they take time out of their schedule to get it ready for everyone to use.

The first mods are starting to trickle through; if you're new to a Nexus site you'll find the best place to see the latest files uploaded to the site is on the Updates today and Updates recently pages.

Remember that Fallout New Vegas still hasn't been released in many parts of the world, including the UK and most of Europe, so be patient.

Initial indications from several modders seems to suggest that modding New Vegas is practically identical to modding Fallout 3, and ergo, a lot of Fallout 3 mods will be compatible with New Vegas with very few tweaks necessary. So keep an eye out for your favourites.

How exactly do you get the mods transfered properly to a ps3 im having trouble please help

You cannot use these mods for ps3 or any console. nexus sites do not support console modding
please have a look at this:

it would actually be nice if the sytems worked ok.
but for some reason votes keep dissapearing on the site..

i don't really care, but i had like 94 votes 3 days ago, and then 2 days ago 91, and yesterday 93, and today 91.

Maybe it's that people may remove their vote and replace it on another mod when ever that like. I have seen this a few times with mod of the month counts where some end up dropping in counts and the others go up even more.

We have a 3 hour cool down on if we endorse a downloaded file,,, how about a cool down and and a warning you may only vote once per month ?

whats the point of these sytems if the do not work.

don't get me wrong, i love the mods and the nexus for hosting them, but the way the site works is just terrible..

Edit: the Fo3 site is even worse, september file votes is just not there..
sorry guys but i would be ashamed of myself if i where maintaining these sites.

    remember fallout 3 RTS

Ever wanna start a town, build a fotress, get your own citizens or gaurds gaurding your fortress or town and decorate the entire town, get your own gunshop or robot army.
start your own town, build your own buildings, gather your own recources and recruit your own soldiers with your own wars to fight. The mod was great in fallout 3 imagine that mod in new vegas. imagine building your city, bigger than vegas, with its own private army and you in charge. this mod was great in fallout 3. this mod can only be bigger in fallout new vegas.

so my request to any intersted modders: a RTS conversion to new vegas.

True, but if they didn't, Fallout New Vegas would have a pretty short lifespan now, wouldn't it? <img class=">

Well obviously people still think it's long enough to buy it, otherwise the console version wouldn't sell very well. <img class=">
