INTRODUCTION:
This monster pack adds the humble critter, the Stirge, to your module, a small winged critter with a thirst for blood and a penchant for group violation of adventurers.

Contrary to Bioware's cheapskating in the toolset, the Stirge is not a Raven-like creature. It is closer to an insect than a bird. The Stirge is a rather nasty little fellow, usually found hanging around more deserted parts of the wilderness where there is a ready supply of cover from the elements, in particular wooded areas, they almost always attack as a swarm, diving in on two pairs of bat-like leathery wings and stabbing their victim with their mosquito-like proboscis, and will drain their victims' blood - to the point of them running dry if they're unlucky.

INSTALLATION:
Installing the Hak and Demonstration:

Step 1:
Extract the file "Stirge.hak" into The Neverwinter Nights hak folder, and the file "DEMO - Stirges Stirges Everywhere.mod" into the "Modules" folder

Step 2:
Boot up the Aurora Toolset (The one that comes with NWN) and open the module you want to add the Hakpack to.

Step 3:
Go to "Edit -> Module Properties" from the menu, choose the "Custom Content" tab, click the downward arrow next to the dropdown box, then choose "Stirge" from the list that appears. Click "add", then "OK" to close the window.

Step 4:
It'll now recompile your module, when it's done close the window, save your module and close the toolset. Reopen it and load back up your module the Hakpack and it's contents are now ready to use. You can also check out so examples of the models in use by loading up the newly added Module "DEMO - Stirges Stirges Everywhere" that can be found under the "Other Modules" listing in the game itself.

USING THE HAKPACK:
Just create a new NPC from scratch, or even better place down a "Stirge" from the Magical Beasts NPC tab, open their properties windows and you'll now find there are two new appearance options:
Stirge: Run of the mill bright orange stirge (As seen in the Monster Manual)
Stirge_Alternate: A mottled khaki coloured stirge was red and black markings and evil red eyes (Unofficial style, but looks cool)

CONTACTING THE AUTHOR
Complaints? Suggestions? Praise? (Praise is always welcome ^_^) - just give me a bell on any of the following

E-Mail: [email protected]
MSN: [email protected]

I can also be caught occasionally on the CODI IRC chatroom (City of Doors Initiative), although due to the fact I have no phone line I'm rarely seen playing on NWN for the time being.

[Warning, Blatant Advert]
I should probably point out I'm currently not in any position of employment, if you're looking for budding 3D modelers to fill a place on a professional
design team I'd be more than happy to hear whats on offer ^_^
