This mod adjusts the volume of all music to equalize their loudness. When installed, there shouldn't be a need to frequently change the in-game music volume.

Changelogs
Version 1.30
Battle music is 1 dB quieter
The leftover Oblivion dungeon music - Dungeon_01_v2 - has been replaced with a silent, 1 second mp3.
Reason: It doesn't ship with Nehrim anymore, and probably was a mistake originally.
Version 1.20
Better Loudness Normalization method. Readjusted loudness of each Music category.
Version 1.10
Increased dungeon music volume by 2.7 dB
Version 1.00
Initial release
If you would like to keep the original files, either use a mod manager or backup the music folder before installing.
You might have noticed how some music in Nehrim is a lot louder than others. By adjusting each track to an exact loudness value, this mod aims to fix it. When in use, you shouldn't need to change music volume so often because the tracks have equal loudness.
Starting from version 1.2, this was done using Audacity's new Loudness Normalization feature, which follows international loudness standards. It works a lot better than the previous RMS method, because RMS doesn't take audio frequencies into account when measuring loudness. This mod only changes volume so there shouldn't be any difference in sound quality.
Music Loudness:
Battle: -22 dB (LUFS)* Dungeon: -25 dB (LUFS) Explore:-23 dB (LUFS) Public: -23 dB (LUFS) Special: unchanged
Different music categories have different average loudnesses. For now, Battle music is 3 dB louder than Dungeon music. Special music isn't included, because they mostly play once during quest events.
*LUFS = Loudness units relative to full scale = dB
